How do I enable automatic recording?
Turn on Automatic recording in KiloMatik. In iPhone Settings, allow Always location access, Precise Location and Motion & Fitness. Labels may vary with the language of iOS.
Does the app need to stay on screen?
Automatic detection is designed to work in the background when permissions allow it. Its operation remains subject to iOS decisions. A locked phone and an app that has been force-quit by swiping it away are different situations.
Why is a trip or its first few metres missing?
Check permissions, automatic recording and Detection History in KiloMatik’s settings. GPS reception and the time needed to recognize movement can affect the result. Email us your iOS version, app version and the approximate time of the issue.
How do I export several trips?
Use trip selection or the yearly archive, then the grouped export. CSV can be used in a spreadsheet; GPX contains routes. Choose the destination in the iOS share sheet.
How do I delete my trips?
Select the relevant trips in the list and choose deletion. Previously exported copies remain at their destination. You can revoke permissions or turn off detection without deleting existing trips.
Can support access my trips?
No. The publisher cannot access trips stored only on your iPhone. We do receive any screenshot or file you voluntarily send us. Avoid sharing personal information that is not needed for your request.
Is iCloud synchronization enabled?
The current test version stores trips on the device and does not enable CloudKit synchronization. An iPhone backup you configure with Apple is separate from this synchronization.
